New heating system - renovation without interrupting ongoing operations.

The goal:

  • Renovation of the heating system without disrupting ongoing operations and without affecting the patients
  • Renovation within 40 weeks
  • The existing district heating connection should remain in use 
  • Interim installation of a temporary steam generator

Our solution:

  • Temporary mobile steam generators set up next to the control centre in the outdoor area
  • Temporary supply lines for all types of mediums
  • Disassembly of the old heat and steam generators and the entire old installation
  • New heat generator as a steam boiler with new feed water and condensate tanks
  • New heating distributor and expansion system
  • New hot water heating systems using the storage charging principle for the entire hospital
  • Water heating for the old hospital
  • Connection to the supply lines

The data:

  • 2 Bosch steam boilers with exhaust gas heat exchangers and a steam output of 650 kg/h each
  • Bosch hot water boiler with exhaust gas heat exchanger and a fuel thermal output of 1,700 kW
  • Steam converter with 900 kW
  • Heat recovery tank with 6,000 litres
  • 2 buffer tanks with 6,000 litres each
